How It Works for Members

We have three ways to turn your unused points into cash

List an existing reservation, claim a custom request from a family, or transfer points to another member — all with DVC Rental Club acting as a secure broker.

Existing Reservation

Rent your existing reservation to another family. If you have time to cancel with no penalties, this may be a good option.

On your profile page, select create a new listing, then select "Existing Reservation". Your listing will post to our Listings page for potential renters to make you an offer.

Wait For A Renter To Make You An Offer

We will email you when you've received an offer. You have a limited amount of time to respond with one of three options:

Accept
Counter
Decline
View and Sign Your Agreement

Once you agree on the terms, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. Note: the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Custom Request

Our most popular option is to claim a Custom Request. As a member, you will visit our Listings page and claim a request made by a family and book their vacation. Make sure if the reservation is more than 7 months away, you own the correct Home Resort.

Respond To The Renter

Respond to the renter before the allotted time expires (3 hours). Within the time allotted, you should respond if you have successfully completed the request, or can offer a possible suitable substitute.

View and Sign Your Agreement

If both parties agree to the terms, it's time to e-sign your agreement. Note: the renter will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Disbursement of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Transfer Points

Typically, there is a lot of risk when transferring points to another member — assuming you do not know the other member. This requires a high level of trust that once the points are transferred, the receiving member will actually pay. Likewise, if the receiving member pays first, will the other member actually transfer the points?

We have eliminated that risk. When transferring points to another member, DVC Rental Club steps in as your 'broker' and will hold the funds until the transaction is complete.

You must transfer current use year points unless previously disclosed to the receiving member. To start, on your profile page, select create a listing, then click to transfer points. Populate with the number of points you are willing to transfer. Interested members will submit offers.

Respond To Your Offer

We will email when you have received an offer. Your options:

Accept
Counter
Decline
View and Sign Your Agreement

Should you agree on the terms, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement. Note: the receiving member will submit their payment to the DVC Rental Club.

Transfer of Points

Upon confirmation, funds will be received by DVC Rental Club, then we will arrange a convenient time for both parties to conference call member services. Both members must be on the line to complete the transfer.

Disbursement of Funds

Once DVC Rental Club receives confirmation from both members that the transfer is complete, we will release the rental funds.

Note: All funds will be held by DVC Rental Club following the terms of the agreement. You will receive an email with a PDF of your fully executed agreement.
