Overview
Disney's Riviera Resort opened in December 2019 as Disney's newest DVC property at Walt Disney World, and it makes an immediate impression. Inspired by the glamour and artistry of the European Riviera — the sun-drenched coastlines of southern France and Italy that Walt Disney himself loved to visit — the Riviera combines sophisticated architecture, world-class dining, and a unique transportation system into a resort experience unlike anything else in the DVC portfolio.
The resort's centerpiece is its soaring tower building, adorned with murals celebrating Disney characters in an impressionist European art style. Custom-commissioned artwork depicting Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, and other beloved characters in the style of Cézanne, Matisse, and the great Riviera masters hangs throughout the resort's corridors and common spaces.
What truly sets the Riviera apart is its transportation: the Disney Skyliner gondola system connects the resort directly to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios — making it one of the most uniquely accessible resorts at Walt Disney World. Watching the gondolas float quietly overhead against the Florida sky is part of the resort's atmosphere, and riding them to the parks is a genuine delight.
Villas Available for Rent
Tower Studio (Sleeps 2)
A brand-new category unique to the Riviera Resort — a compact, intelligently designed studio in the tower building tailored for couples or solo travelers who want a private space without paying for a full deluxe studio. At approximately 200 square feet, the Tower Studio features a queen bed, a work/vanity area, and a kitchenette. The views from upper floors are exceptional.
Deluxe Studio (Sleeps 5)
A more spacious studio featuring a queen bed, a bunk bed (sleeping two), a pull-down queen murphy bed, and a kitchenette. Sleeps up to five guests — one of the more generous studio sleeping configurations in the DVC system.
One-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 5)
A separate master bedroom with a king bed, a living area with queen sleeper sofa and pull-down bed, and a full kitchen with stovetop, oven, and dishwasher. In-room washer and dryer included. Many one-bedrooms offer Skyliner or EPCOT views.
Two-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 9)
A full master suite, a second bedroom, and a spacious open living and kitchen area. Sleeps up to nine guests and is ideal for families seeking extra space without going to a Grand Villa. Available in dedicated and lock-off configurations.
Three-Bedroom Grand Villa (Sleeps 12)
The Riviera's Grand Villas occupy the top floors of the tower and offer sweeping views of Walt Disney World property — some with sightlines to multiple parks. Three full bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen with double ovens, a formal dining area, and a wraparound terrace make these among the most spectacular DVC accommodations at Walt Disney World.

Location & Transportation
Disney's Riviera Resort is located between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios in the EPCOT Resort Area, placing it at the hub of the Disney Skyliner gondola network. The Skyliner connects the resort directly to EPCOT's International Gateway entrance and to Hollywood Studios — the two parks most convenient to this resort.
Complimentary bus service runs to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. The resort is approximately 20 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO), and remarkably, the Disney Skyliner also connects through Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort hub to the airport's Skyliner station — offering a uniquely scenic (if slower) alternative airport transfer option. Self-parking is complimentary for resort guests.
