Overview
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows bring the spirit of the South Pacific to the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, just minutes from Magic Kingdom. The Polynesian Resort has been one of Walt Disney World's most beloved hotels since opening day in 1971, and the DVC accommodations added in 2015 allow members and renters to experience its legendary island atmosphere in full villa style.
Lush tropical gardens, the towering centerpiece of the Great Ceremonial House, the glow of tiki torches at dusk, the aroma of tropical flowers, and the sound of steel drums set the unmistakable Polynesian mood. The resort's location on the monorail loop — directly between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center — makes it one of the most convenient (and most sought-after) resorts at Walt Disney World.
The Polynesian DVC accommodations include two distinct options that could hardly be more different: studios within the main resort building, and the iconic Bungalows — two-bedroom overwater accommodations that extend out over Seven Seas Lagoon on private stilted platforms, offering sweeping views of the lagoon and Cinderella Castle in the distance.
Villas & Bungalows Available for Rent
Deluxe Studio (Sleeps 5)
Located within the Polynesian Resort's main longhouse buildings (most recently the Moorea longhouse), the DVC studios feature a king bed, a bunk bed set sleeping two children, and a pull-down queen murphy bed — one of the most creative sleeping configurations in the DVC system. A kitchenette with mini-refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker serves everyday needs. Many studios offer stunning views of the lagoon or the resort's tropical gardens.
Bora Bora Bungalow (Sleeps 8)
The Polynesian's Bungalows are among the most extraordinary accommodations in the entire Disney portfolio. These two-bedroom, two-bathroom overwater retreats extend out over Seven Seas Lagoon on private raised platforms, each with a wraparound deck, a plunge pool, and unobstructed views of Seven Seas Lagoon — including the nightly Electrical Water Pageant and, on clear nights, the fireworks above Magic Kingdom. Inside, the bungalows feature a full kitchen, a dining area, a living room, and a master bedroom with king bed plus a second bedroom with two queen beds.
Point requirements vary by accommodation type and season. Studios require considerably fewer points than bungalows. Contact DVC Rental Club for a personalized estimate.
