How It Works for Renters

We have three ways to start your journey towards a magical vacation

Browse existing listings, submit a custom travel request, or request a point transfer — all protected by our secure escrow process.

Rent an Existing Reservation

Typically, when renting an existing reservation from a member, there is little if any flexibility in dates, size of accommodations or length of stay.

Submit Your Offer

If an existing reservation meets your needs, simply submit your offer to the member. Most members respond within 24 hours or less.

Wait For The Member To Respond

We will email you when the member responds. These are your options:

Accept
Counter
Decline
View and Sign Your Agreement

When you reach an agreement with the member, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement.

Make Your Payment

After e-signing your agreement, you will be taken to the payment page where you can choose your payment method and submit your payment.

Disbursement of Funds

On check-in day we will release the funds to the member.

Submit a Custom Request

Our most popular option is to create a Custom Request. On your profile page, you may select to submit a request. You will add your desired dates of travel along with size of room and resort preference. We will post your request and a member will claim and respond.

A Member Will Claim Your Request

The member is allotted 3–5 hours once they accept, to fulfill your request.

Member Response

The member will do their best to fulfill the request as stated, but there may not be a perfect match. For example, maybe only standard view is available at the Polynesian rather than lake view, as requested. When you receive notice, you'll have 3 options:

Accept
Counter
Decline
View and Sign Your Agreement

When you reach an agreement, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your contract.

Make Your Payment

After e-signing, you will be prompted to submit your payment.

Request a Point Transfer

The third option is only available for DVC Members. This option allows members to transfer points to each other.

Submit Your Offer

Select a listing with the number of points you would like to transfer into your DVC member account. Enter your offer price and submit. We will notify the member allowing them 24 hours to respond.

Wait For The Member To Respond

We will email when you have received a response. You have a limited amount of time to respond with one of three options:

Accept
Counter
Decline
View and Sign Your Agreement

If you reach an agreement, you will receive instructions to view and e-sign your agreement.

Make Your Payment

After e-signing, you will be prompted to submit your payment.

Note: All funds will be held by DVC Rental Club following the terms of the agreement. You will receive an email with a PDF of your fully executed agreement.
