Overview

Disney's Vero Beach Resort is one of two non-theme-park DVC resorts in Florida, and it occupies a stretch of pristine Atlantic beachfront on what locals call Florida's "Treasure Coast." Opened in 1995, it was designed as a genuine seaside retreat — a place to swap the energy of the theme parks for the rhythm of the ocean, the sound of surf, and the warmth of a Florida beach sunset.

The resort's architectural style draws from Florida's early 20th-century Craftsman and Coastal traditions: wooden shingles, wrap-around porches, sea glass colors, and design elements that reference Florida's maritime history. The overall effect is a relaxed, unhurried coastal resort that happens to deliver the service quality and attention to detail guests expect from Disney.

Vero Beach Resort is popular with DVC members who want to use "banked" or extra points for a different kind of vacation — one where the beach is the main attraction. Deluxe Studio (Sleeps 4)

One-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 4)

A separate master bedroom with a king bed, a living area with a queen sleeper sofa, and a full kitchen with stovetop, oven, and dishwasher. In-room washer and dryer included. Perfect for couples or small families wanting a home-away-from-home feel on the beach.

Two-Bedroom Villa (Sleeps 8)

Two full bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, and a complete kitchen. Ideal for families or groups who want plenty of space to return to after a day on the beach. Available in dedicated and lock-off configurations.

Three-Bedroom Grand Villa (Sleeps 12)

The resort's most expansive villa accommodation — three bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, and generous living spaces. Grand Villas at Vero Beach can accommodate large families or multi-family groups comfortably.

Beach Cottage (Sleeps 8)

Vero Beach's most distinctive accommodations — a collection of standalone two-story cottages located directly on the beach. Each cottage features three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, a screened porch, and immediate beach access. These are among the most sought-after accommodations at any DVC resort for guests who want a true beach house experience with Disney service.

Point requirements vary by room type and season. Vero Beach Resort uses its own point chart, separate from Walt Disney World. Cottages require significantly more points than standard villas. Contact DVC Rental Club for current pricing.

Location & Transportation

Disney's Vero Beach Resort is located in Vero Beach, Florida, on a barrier island in Indian River County — approximately 2.5 to 3 hours from Walt Disney World (Orlando). The Treasure Coast region is known for its unspoiled natural beauty, excellent fishing, golf, and a relaxed pace of life that stands in sharp contrast to the busier Atlantic Coast communities to the south.

The nearest commercial airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO), approximately 2.5 hours away, or Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB), approximately 50 miles to the north. A rental car is essential for exploring the area, as there is no resort shuttle service to the parks. Vero Beach itself offers excellent restaurants, art galleries, and outdoor recreation within a short drive of the resort.
